DietID_TeamDietitians Welcome @mbayleehall8!! re: Zipfizz, I agree - we don't recommend drinks like zipfizz for the reasons @annefood mentioned above. If you're looking for a fizzy alternative, try regular seltzer or...

annefood Great breakfast @juliasalviati !
-
KyFish I do this as well. But I use this 7 grain bread from my farmers market because it doesn't have any added sugar like some grocery store bread, and it's better for managing my diabetes.
Add lemon juice to your water
By adding lemon juice to your water it gives it taste, helps detox your body and helps increase your metabolism
-
Amieroe that's smart although be careful because to much acid is bad for your teeth :)
-
BethIsGreen I keep one of those lemon juice squeeze bottles in my fridge so it's easier.
A good way to stop drinking soda is to find a healthier alternative like carbonated water. For extra flavor add some lemon or lime slices.

-
annefood Awesome @purplebatman ! So true.
-
Brianne I second this tip!
Plain yogurt with fruit, nuts, and/or granola is a surprisingly delicious sugar-free way to start your day.
-
annefood So true—it's one of my favorites!
-
DietID_TeamDietitians totally one of my favorites too! I eat this for breakfast most days!
-
JayH What kind of granola do you use?
If you have trouble drinking water normally, try turning it into herbal tea to make a tasty drink without the excess junk in it!

annefood Great tip @palermonia !
How do i avoid sweets candy etc. If i have a lot of them in my house ?
-
justinponeill Throw them away or "gift" them to someone else when you end up or someone else's house (As long as they aren't open yet).
-
nikkipayne21 That's always hard. I struggle with the same problem. But I just have to remind myself what I want more. I want to be healthier and my body will feel awful afterwards
-
davisaa It's tough to get started but once you cut them from your diet you'll lose the craving and eventually be able to avoid them completely! Good luck!
Eat with your non dominate hand, it tricks your brain!!!❤️
-
BobDale Such a good idea!
-
NehaNBB Wow @oliviaflynn5 I just tried this and it was so hard!
-
