lauren 8yr I keep my water bottle on me at all times! I think I read somewhere that when we crave salty snacks, we actually need water and could be dehydrated
-
emmie 8yr Eating snacks isn't necessarily bad for you- as long as they are healthy and a small size. :)

DietID_TeamDietitians 8yr For late night snacking, I get a cup of herbal tea instead so it fulfills my craving to consume something flavorful, makes me feel warm, but doesn't have caffeine so I won't stay up too late.

darkchocolatepeanutbutter 8yr Hey @finaflorence! Great question! If you've just eaten a meal, try to distract yourself with a different activity for ten minutes and then check back in with yourself to see if you really want to eat. Hope that helps you :)
-
annefood 8yr @finaflorence I do the same thing as @Rachna . Also, be sure to fill up on veggies, protein and whole grains throughout the day. If I eat well earlier and have a nutritious dinner I find I don't need to nibble on something before bed. Also, hiding the snacks can help. Our leftover halloween candy bowl is on the top shelf of the pantry so I can't reach it in a moment of weakness ;)

juliasalviati 8yr Try a little something called no... say no to sweets, those afternoon cravings as well!!!that will help ya! Good Luck!🙏🏻
-
MargaretG 8yr The tea tip is one I hadn't thought of. Thx @Rachna
-
kikiputa 8yr To me it helps when I think before eating something I crave; I could eat it, but do I really want to? And could I feel better if i dont eat that? :)
-
darkchocolatepeanutbutter 8yr @kikiputa I do the same!
-
annefood 8yr I also ask myself "do I just want cereal, or would an egg or some salad or chicken taste good instead?" —if the answer is no, then chances are I'm not truly hungry.
