Hey! The sugar is coming from the raisins, pear juice concentrate, and dried apples. Current nutrition labels show total sugar, which is a combination of any intrinsic sugars (from fruit, grains, lactose etc) and added sugars. New nutrition labels will soon show added sugar as it's own line, but in the meantime the only way to differentiate is by looking at the ingredients. This product is fine on the Avoid Added Sugar Challenge. Technically the caramelized pear juice concentrate has been added for sweetness, but fruit juices are allowed on this Challenge.

Nope! Agave nectar is an added sugar (as are maple syrup, coconut nectar, honey, etc.).

Definitely agree. I’m out of town for work, so I used this drink to recover after a 4 mile run in Denver altitude and 90 degrees 😄 usually I would have made my own!
