I recently found an easy way to store half / part of an avocado from turning brown .
Simply cover it in plastic wrap ( in a nicely sealed air tight manner ) and place in the fridge.

Pretty sure I heard the pit part is actually a myth. I think Kenji Lopez from The Foodlab tested it

Really?! Oof I'll give it a try sans the lemon juice. I always use both and it seems to work, but a true scientist would say only test one variable at a time :)

I've always used the pit and cling wrap. I'll try the lemon instead and find out what happens.

I've been using aluminum foil with the pit in... Not sure if it works better than plastic wrap but it's a tad more environmentally friendly and easy to reuse!

Keeping the pit on limits the exposed surface to air - from my point of view it can help a bit from that perspective. lemon / acid is probably helpful too. Bottom line : avocado is s true treasure food worth fighting for š

I make latkes with it, kind of like your recipe @rachna and also shred it into salads or roast rounds in the oven and drizzle garlic aioli over it. I'll even it it like an apple!
