Hey @NellyAymon . First, I wouldn't recommend stuffing yourself with water—it is possible to become overly hydrated such that the sodium levels in your blood drop too low. However, to do that you'd likely have to drink over 3 glasses of water per hour throughout the day. Water weight actually occurs when your body retains water due to high salt and carbohydrate intake, stress, hormones and in fact, dehydration. Drinking a good amount of water will actually help prevent water retention, and you'll urinate it out later.

Hi @NellyAymon! I'm in agreement with @annefood. Our bodies made up of 60% to 65% water in order to support all of our internal systems so staying hydrated is a great way to help everything to work smoothly. If you do feel bloated or a little heavy, it may (or may not) be a sign that you're eating a lot of salt and may want to decrease your salt consumption while eating more potassium-rich foods like bananas, avocados and sweet potatoes.
