mefisher 8yr If you really want chocolate but you are doing the sugar free challenge, try sugar free dark chocolate chips. It really helped me when I was doing no sugar added. http://www.vitacost.com/lilys-dark-chocolate-premium-baking-chips-9-oz-2?csrc=GPF-PA-Food%20%26%20Beverages-856481003180&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw=&ci_origin=mobile&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=856481003180&csrc=GPF-PA&mtp=slT0HLpn3-dm%7Cpcrid%7C97670541013%7Cproduct%7C856481003180&gclid=CjwKEAiA3qXBBRD4_b_V7ZLFsX4SJAB0AtEVbXgtWEMGqf36WLlkkuLFMlGfBEbImUWSUkWTCMAALhoC09Tw_wcB

mefisher 8yr It has stevia which I think you're supposed to stay away from, but it's really not that bad for you (plus I don't really get that rule - I found it impossible to deny cravings for that long, and stevia really isn't that bad for you)

annefood 8yr Hey @ManyaModi ! Unfortunately the best way to stop craving sugar is to stop eating it. Eating chocolate to satisfy your craving won't help get rid of the cravings long term. The first week might be really hard, but you can kick the craving if you stick with it. You got this! Make sure you eat well-balanced meals throughout the day (veggies, fruit, protein, healthy fats, whole grains), drink plenty of water, and get enough sleep. Hunger, dehydration and a lack of sleep will all intensify cravings. And in the afternoon grab a piece of fruit instead of the chocolate. It is naturally sweet and full of fiber. Check out the Avoid Added Sugar Guidebook https://www.thefoodstand.com/challenge-groups/14-avoid-added-sugar/guide for more tips. @mefisher you're right—stevia is okay. One should use limited amounts because it can cause gastric upset, gas and bloating if one consumes too much. And people should make sure that their stevia is really just stevia leaf extract and not some of the stevia blends that contains additives. As always, be sure to read the ingredients.

DietID_TeamDietitians 8yr @MaynaModi try dates with almond butter (the kind with no added sugar) as a replacement. Eating 2 of these is super satisfying and makes you feel like you're getting a dessert.
