Intro to Pickling w/ Sheena's Pickles: Antonelli's Adult Summer Camp Series
"For our second year in a row, we're offering a series of Adult Summer Camp classes on Sunday afternoons in July and August! For this hands-on class with Sheena of Sheena's Pickles, we'll learn how to pickle cucumbers and other veggies. Sheena will show us how to make brine, and she'll talk through lacto-fermented vegetables and vinegar-based pickles. We'll learn how to avoid common pitfalls (soft, non-crispy pickles) and how to create some of Sheena's favorite flavors like Bread and Butter, Dill, and Texas Heat! You'll leave class with your own jar of pickles and the know-how to create your own at home.
A couple RSVP reminders: Each class is $60 plus fees. Once you click to purchase tickets, you will only have 5 minutes to complete your order. To pay with a gift card, call our events department at 512-531-9610 ext. 3 with your card number and pin number. Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other dates. You will receive a confirmation email which you should bring along with you on class night. We allow individuals to purchase up to 6 seats; please note we can only guarantee seating for parties of 6 or less. (If your party is larger, contact us for information on private parties and tastings!) If you're unable to purchase one or more tickets, that means they are sold out. Please sign up for our waitlist (once per person); we are often able to accommodate guests off this list. Lastly, remember that you can come into the Cheese Shop anytime and taste cheese for free. Our cheesemongers are here to guide you through the case and answer any questions."
