Peeled some sweet potatoes for breakfast this morning and was rewarded with a lovely purple!
Love discovering all of the varieties found in produce. These ones are called Okinawa sweet potatoes.

munchiemummy 8yr Until I shopped farmers markets I had no idea how many varieties of food are available. I grew up in a rural "food desert" where if we didn't grow it ourselves, the only supermarket was Walmart. I just bought 8 (8!) different varieties of beets to plant in my garden. Who knew there were white beets? Not me! -
Brianne 8yr Wow! 8 kinds of beets?! Yea I find the normal grocery stores just have the basics. I find a lot more interesting vegetables at the ethnic grocery stores. I doubt they are locally grown, but at least it forces me to try something new. -
