lauren 8yr @KaduNakashima that's a good question! I did a little digging (pun intended) and it looks like it's fine--since ice melts slowly, the water turns to room temperature by the time it hits the roots. Watering plants with ice-cold water can shock the plant, so avoid that! It's also important to figure out how much ice it takes to fully water the plant, it can be easy to under-water with this method.
