mirasingh 8yr I wish there were more ways to know if my seafood was fished my slave labor ☹ seems like if you are at a restaurant or market that doesn't say anything about the fish, we should assume the worst? -
Ricky 8yr @Mirasingh My fear is that even if something reassuring is said, it's probably not a sure thing. It's always kind of alarming when they do blind tests and find out that a significant fraction of fish isn't even the type of fish it claims to be (see: http://mobile.nytimes.com/2013/02/21/us/survey-finds-that-fish-are-often-not-what-label-says.html ). 😞 -
mirasingh 8yr Oh man. I know this organization is working on fish fraud http://oceana.org/our-campaigns/seafood_fraud/campaign but it seems crazy that this isn't somehow regulated

mirasingh 8yr Yep! I've read that the TPP will make it harder to monitor slave conditions in fisheries in South Asia. The TPP confuses me, but if what I heard is true, that is quite unfortunate
