Potatoes are taking root!
This little all blue potato (one of many) will produce a few pounds of new potatoes in just a few months.

olivettefarm 8yr @Rachna there's no real difference in flavor compared to similar sized potatoes. I prefer to grow smaller ones. I find the flavor and texture to be better. Purple and blue potatoes are higher in antioxidants compared to other colored ones. -
sugardetoxme 8yr One of the farmers at the McCarren Farmers Market was waxing poetic about how much difference in taste there was across the potato spectrum - from his white to russet to blue to red. I don't find so much differentiation either but maybe I need to hone my palate better. -
DietID_TeamDietitians 8yr ah yes - the antioxidant point @olivettefarm is enough for me to go purple =). I think using these in dinner parties is also awesome because then people ask questions!
Harvesting Kohlrabi
We love to shred it and make a slaw with our Napa cabbage. We also cook the leaves low and slow similar to collards. #nofoodwaste #FoodRevolution

Harvesting Swiss Chard today.
We love to sauté the stems and greens and add them to our eggs. They have a nice earthy flavor and the stems add a good crunch. #FoodRevolution

Eat your microgreens!
This is our mild mix. It includes red Russian kale, amaranth and red cabbage. It's packed with nutrients and is very tasty! I love to add these to my breakfast omelets. #FoodRevolution
