Red Russian Kale, Napa Cabbage, radish micro, dill and Tuscan Kale. These are all from thinning out our seedlings in the greenhouse. I always love making salads off of our thinnings #nofoodwaste

DietID_TeamDietitians Does "thinning" In farming mean the same thing as "thinning" when you get a haircut? Maybe a dumb question, but I don't know!
-
olivettefarm @Rachna pretty similar! Sometimes when we seed in the greenhouse we accidentally drop multiple seeds into a cell. There's not enough room in each cell for multiple seeds to grow healthy before...

DietID_TeamDietitians Ohh so interesting!!!! I can't wait to come down to visit

Our little leeks are happy in the greenhouse. It's easy to forget that the giant leeks you're used to start out more like a blade of grass.

JenniferDoscher Awww Do they get lullabies at night? 😊💖 Maybe "God's Chorus" of crickets, by Jim Wilson?
-
DietID_TeamDietitians Yay!!!

olivettefarm @JenniferDoscher haha - yep! Bedtime stories every night. Gotta keep them happy.
Amaranth Microgreens

A study found that amaranth micros have 4-6 times more nutrients than their full grown counterparts. They have a flavor very similar to beet micros, just a bit more mild.
