DietID_TeamDietitians 6yr Great question!! Some breads are definitely allowed, but most actually have some added sugar. It's best to check the ingredient label to be sure. Some favorites we love: Ezekiel sprouted grain bread, Acme bread (as reported by @trishz), and the spelt bread found at the Royal Oak farmers market on Saturdays.

I wanted to give a heads up if you ever check the label and it still says for example, 1g sugar even though there's no added sugar in the ingredients, that can be due to the natural sugars in bread since flour is a carbohydrate. I found this on a website: "The sugar content typically arises from sugars naturally present in flour (approx. 1.4-2.1g per 100g), with the remainder produced through the action of yeast during the fermentation process". Just be sure to check the label :)
