DietID_TeamDietitians 6yr I would suggest skipping it because one of its main ingredients is Maltitol, a sugar alcohol or sweetener. Though it is not as sweet as sugar, itโs still an artificial sweetener, which you should avoid for this challenge. @annefood probably has some good tips for chocolate cravings :)

AlexB 6yr Okay cool! Thank you. I just usually have one square of super dark chocolate.

annefood 6yr It's best to just skip it. Sugar alternatives tend to cause gastrointestinal issues when eaten in excess. I eat 100% cacao chips with dried fruit for a little dessert sometimes. No added sugar or funky sweeteners. They're not sweet at all, but when combined with dried mango or apricots it's a deliciously sweet and chocolatey combo. https://www.vitacost.com/pascha-organic-dark-chocolate-baking-chips-100-cacao

DietID_TeamDietitians 6yr I picked up a 100% dark chocolate bar with cocoa nibs from tjโs that is pretty tasty, but as Anne mentioned - no sugar so itโs nkt sweet at all so best to combine with fruit

annefood 6yr 100% is now my favoriteโI even prefer it to dark chocolate. But the first time I tasted it I thought it tasted like dirt! ๐ Part of it is training your tastebuds. When you're used to eating added sugars, unsweetened foods can taste bitter. But once you get used to eating unsweetened foods the natural sweetness and flavors come out. However the other part is that you have to find an unsweetened chocolate that's decent. Some are truly awful! Ghirardelli's 100% Cacao bar is terrible, for example. So you might have to try a couple to find one you like.

AlexB 6yr Thank you, this is super helpful. When I first had 88% dark chocolate I hated it and now I love it so that makes complete sense.
