annefood 6yr Hey @alicray! Great question. First, congrats on stepping away from fast food—such a big accomplishment! To cut down on the chocolate and crisps, try replacing them with other deliciously sweet and savory treats. If I'm craving something sweet I reach for fresh or dried fruit (unsweetened without sulfites). Fresh fruit is crisp and refreshing, and dried provides a little extra sweet indulgence. (Just be careful not to eat too much dried fruit, as it's high in concentrated natural sugars and can mess with your digestion.) Added bonus: fresh fruit fills you up, particularly if you eat it with a handful of almonds! If I'm craving something savory, I tend to reach for veggies with hummus. Or if a particularly intense craving strikes, some baked whole grain pita chips or brown rice crackers with the hummus. Again, the protein helps keep me full. Plus, all of these snacks are portable so they're perfect when you're on-the-go.

DietID_TeamDietitians 6yr Did you always stop at the same fast food restaurants and around the same time of day? If so, it's great to celebrate the fact that you've changed that habit so far. If you're finding that you're replacing fast food with other unhealthy options, try to keep some of those healthy snacks @annefood mentioned within arms reach. Keeping those snacks handy will ensure they are just as convenient as fast food. Hope that helps!

alicray 6yr Brilliant, OK off to the shops tomorrow. I pass the offending shops many times but did well avoiding them. Fat Friday in work tomorrow, I am going to pick up something tasty from tescos on the way in to work. Not going to be easy saying no. Thank you.

alicray 6yr Still going well thank you, no visits to any drive throughs. Amazed myself. I am still overeating other things. Do we get to do another target soon?
