munchiemummy 8yr It's such a shame; I've been saying for years over here in the UK that there should be a tax break/incentive or rent cap for small businesses renting shops- SOMETHING to help the little guys and keep the high street alive. Maybe it means a return to more marketplaces? Or a community-wide marketplace where rental stalls are more affordable?

DietID_TeamDietitians 8yr This makes me so sad! There are a lot of new food halls opening, but I feel they run into the same problem. The TasteNY campaign put on by the NY State Department of Ag has done a good job of pushing local artisanal goods in all kinds of places, e.g. at airports and rest stops. I wonder if other states are doing the same.

mirasingh 8yr Rent is just so high that brick and mortar is so expensive. I'm curious if businesses are finding the new ecommerce platforms valuable. Anyone know?
