The squash are not too far behind. When harvesting for eating, only harvest the male blossoms, which grow on a stem and don't bear fruit. #gardeningtips#kitchentips

Can you tell me more about how to tell the male ones? Not sure I follow

@sugardetoxme will probably answer, but the male blossoms grow on a long skinny stem whereas the females clearly have a fruit growing beneath the blossom.

@Yfalkson, @Georegulus is right. It will just be growing on a skinny stem. You'll notice the fruiting body (the zucchini!!) on the female flower.
