Love your comment! The only reason why I think it's important to talk about the diet of one of the most popular football players is because historically football has been associated with highly processed, meat-heavy bad for you foods - because of players being spokespeople, and because of who advertises during games. Talking about a plant-based diet in the same breath as football I think is a step in the right direction so we can start decoupling Americas game and wings, pizza, and beer. Though I agree - this diet and eating lifestyle isn't attainable for pretty much anyone.

I would rather hear how doctors or cancer survivors eat than how the 'world's most beautiful couple' eats any day. They are paid to look good etc. They can afford to eat in a way that will keep them employed longer. But real people who have to find their own food, cook it, and thrive, are much more significant to me.

Having ranted, in the end, a diet that is balanced, allows for fun, but concentrates on optimum health as per the individual is the most important. Many aspects of their diet is great- and a lot of non celebrities have been eating that way for ages.

I'm glad the point is made about how your body absorbs nutrients, like vitamin D. Just drinking water with extra vitamins doesn't help you as much ingesting it with a full meal.
