I expect these headlines for products being imported from other lands, but what a shame that a North American company would stoop so low. Ideally, if you want to purchase pre-grated cheese, you should look for the larger, longer strand version of grated cheese. It's fresher and you can see what it is in a clear tub. You gotta wonder about the powdered stuff in an tall covered can- if it can sit in a cupboard, what kind of preservatives is it filled with?? Grating your own is the best, but can also be costly.

Ya this is crazy stuff. Freshly grated is always more expensive but may be worth it.
