sugardetoxme 9yr Not that I know of. We're so late to the game. I'm wondering if an organization, particularly a non-profit, can help lead that challenge. Maybe @NRDC? Would be easier than for ordinary citizens to get behind.

Philbert 9yr @Rachna @mirasingh @katewilson that would be awesome! NRDC is doing awareness and education around food waste on the consumer level but there may be more in store. I wonder why the EU is always ahead of the US when it comes to food..

DietID_TeamDietitians 9yr Thanks for the update @Philbert! I was at a food waste workshop where someone suggested that fruits and veggies should come out of a vending machine so you get what you get... Bruises, dent, and all. I'd love to see and grocer try this

Philbert 9yr @Rachna yea that would make so much sense if you could buy slightly cheaper food that isn't perfect. And vending machines are fun! Hopefully it could happen soon in some form or other.
