"For this installment of Talk & Taste: Evenings at at Essex Street Market, we’re partnering with the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) to bring together a panel of immigrant food entrepreneurs -- those that have kept their cultures’ food traditions alive, while also adding their own flare. We’ll hear from Jake Dell of Katz's Delicatessen, Jonathan Wu of Fung Tu, and Rona Economou of Boubouki. Lisa Gross, Founder and CEO of The League of Kitchens, will moderate and share her perspective working with immigrant cooks in New York City. Because, really, what would New York City be without the smoked fish of early Jewish immigrants, or the steaming hot noodle bowls of the city’s longstanding Chinese community? We'll talk about the immigrants -- and their appetites! -- that made today's world cooking possible. Plus, sample a free tasting of Kossar's Jewish delights and complimentary Tiger Beer! The evening starts with a reception at 6:30pm and then the discussion from 7-8pm. **Tickets are free but RSVP is required!**

Closest train to meeting spot is the F,M,J,Z at Delancey/Essex. Minimum of 4 people for tour to run, so come with friends!
