I didn't come to Japan to not eat a dish of baby eels if that's what an old woman who speaks no English serves me.

AJG 9yr Kind of but not exaxtly. I like big eel better. These were served to mix in with some sort of pickled vegetable and wrap with seaweed.

MargaretG 9yr When I lived in Japan as a college student, my home stay "mom" used to hide dried fish, including eels (I think) in my food. She was adamant they were good for me and I was adamantly not into them. Good for you for trying these!!
