CrownAndQueue 10yr Salt block? I've never heard of that... Where do you buy something like that - and how do you go about using it?

GriotGood 10yr I got it as a gift so I don't know exactly where it came from. I have seen it online at Sur La Table and Amazon though. It's easy to use. Just heat gradually in the oven until it gets to 400 degrees, then cook your fish on it. I found that the vegetables are best pre seared to get more caramelization, but the temperature is perfect for raw fish.

CrownAndQueue 10yr @foosa Sorry for the delayed response! Foodstand doesn't seem to notify you of comments unless you are @ed! So: that sounds really neat! And you find it imparts flavour, or texture or both? I'm picturing it a bit like a pizza stone - but the salt element must add something right?
