Getting the sugary snacks you turn to at night out of the house, and replacing them with healthy things to nibble on like fruit, snackable veggies, plain popcorn, and nuts is one of the best tricks. You can't eat what's not in your pantry. Also, try distracting yourself with a walk, game, call to a friend, chat with a family member, or show. That can help as well.
