Coffee is known to be an appetite suppressant, but we don't encourage drinking coffee in the evening due to the caffeine (even decaf contains some caffeine). However, if you are able to fall asleep no problem after drinking coffee, then there's no reason why you shouldn't have a cup in the evening if you enjoy it. That being said, if you often find yourself hungry in the evening, eating nutritious, well-balanced, high-fiber meals throughout the day can help. If I skip a meal during the day even if I'm not overly hungry then, I often find that I'm starving after dinner.
