annefood 8yr I hope you heal quickly @Byanez ! Are there any limitations that your doctor has set, or are you free to eat all sorts of foods post surgery? In general, a healthful diet contains plenty of vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and smaller quantities of lean meat like chicken or turkey, wild fish such as salmon, and healthy fats like avocado, nuts and olive oil. Try to avoid sugar as it increases inflammation, which wouldn't be good while recovering. DietID_TeamDietitians 8yr @Byanez! Hope you're doing better! I'd definitely check with your physician for specific dietary restrictions, however from what I know about gal bladder removal surgery is that you want to eat smaller meals, limit high fat foods, and limit foods that can cause gas. So be sure to start small and introduce fresh fruits and veggies first. I would avoid anything fried like french fries or creamy like a creamy soup or alfredo sauce. Stick to non-gassy veggies like Bell peppers, cucumbers, greens, green beans, tomatoes, and zucchini. Hope that helps!

darkchocolatepeanutbutter 8yr @Byanez Definitely agree with @Rachna and @annefood. Also eating small frequent meals could help!
