annefood 8yr Hey @Queen_Ashley ! Awesome that you joined the Avoid Sugar at Breakfast Challenge—sounds like you're off to a good start. The most important things to remember about weight loss is that it doesn't happen overnight, and it's all about small changes you make in your diet every day. Overall, a healthful diet is one that includes a lot of veggies and some fruit; lean meats, fish and eggs in moderation; whole grains; and avoids sugar and processed food. For breakfast that might include an omelette with veggies, or plain yogurt with fruit and nuts. For lunch it might be a salad with beans and veggies, and for dinner a piece of chicken or fish with brown rice and vegetables. Check out our Avoid Added Sugar Guidebook https://www.thefoodstand.com/challenge-groups/14-avoid-added-sugar/guide and the Eat More Fruits & Veggies Guidebook https://www.thefoodstand.com/challenge-groups/6-eat-more-fruits-veggies-per-day/guide for some recipe inspiration. @foodbymars @ashleemdavis @darkchocolatepeanutbutter @Newgent @kathrynsunvalley are all nutrition experts who might be able to chime in with some additional well-balanced meal ideas.

darkchocolatepeanutbutter 8yr Hey @Queen_Ashley! What Anne suggested before is similar to the Mediterranean Diet which has become quite popular for its health benefits. Also weight loss involves all areas of your life so it's good to think about how different environments trigger certain dietary patterns. If you want a specific plan, you should seek a registered dietitian for help. Thanks for the great question :)
