Chicken Satay!

I've shared my traditional Malaysian Chicken Satay recipe countless times but most folks, even seasoned chefs, are reluctant to make it and prefer to just ask me to make them jars of marinade. I know, it's complicated - the marinade alone has 13 ingredients some of which aren't easy to come by. No, this is not the "easy NY Times satay" with fish sauce and peanut butter. Imagine my delight when my father-in-law, who lives in Massachusetts and loves to cook asked for the recipe and actually made it!
