moving in the wrong direction!! I can't believe this is allowed. Looks like Pollan's rules of 'don't shop in the center of the grocery store' will no longer apply.

This is not a good trend. It sounds like manufacturers work with stores/chains on product placement so hopefully this does not become widespread. If sales increase though, I imagine the supermarket aisles being turned inside out!

@Lezengel totally - especially since manufacturers pay top dollar for those placements at end caps and at eye level in the grocery store. Let's hope grocery stores try to make $$ on this by making those spots in the produce section more expensive and no one wants to pay! :)

Grr. I heard they're also opening up an "artisanal cereal pop-up" in Times Square. Sounds like they're grasping for straws โ fingers crossed!
