This is not a good trend. It sounds like manufacturers work with stores/chains on product placement so hopefully this does not become widespread. If sales increase though, I imagine the supermarket aisles being turned inside out!

@Lezengel totally - especially since manufacturers pay top dollar for those placements at end caps and at eye level in the grocery store. Let's hope grocery stores try to make $$ on this by making those spots in the produce section more expensive and no one wants to pay! :)

Agreed- I keep whole grains and beans in the pantry and when I donโt know what to do for dinner I just throw them in a bowl with a veggie or lettuce and some dressing.
