So fascinating! With all the pushback we've seen in the states on a soda tax, it seems like this will be hard to pass and administer, though an interesting idea. I'd be curious if a tax is also coupled with a subsidy for healthier options. If the goal of the tax is to curb consumption, and consumption of healthier foods is 'less' convenient, there should also be an incentive on the flip side to avoid the Scandinavian outcome.

It's going to be hard to implement & I don't think it would be more effective if all governments ensured that we get better quality produce by clamping down on the use of chemicals etc.

This is so important @garv! Thank you for posting. Healthy eating is all about moderation, not restriction or deprivation.
