We've been discussing the GMO aspect, and I think most people agree at this point that unless you are sensitive to gluten you should eat it, but probiotics??? It's hard for me to believe that they don't do anything. I definitely notice a difference when eating yogurt and Kombucha. @darkchocolatepeanutbutter what are your thoughts?

I agree- I don't take a probiotic supplement but I do drink a lot of Kombucha and eat yogurt!

@Gwendolyn Probiotics are a natural part of the gut system so they're not useless. Yogurt drinks and biscuits probably have small amounts of probiotic activity so that might have influenced the study's results. Foods like kimchi and sauerkraut come with other nutrients like B12 and vitamin C. They don't promise optimal health but I don't think probiotics should be dismissed so easily.
