A different twist on #NoFoodWaste November today. Eat your "ugly" fruits and veggies! There's nothing wrong with them. They're still delicious and good for you even when they look a little more fun...

#NoFoodWaste November - the flowers on Thai basil plants are wonderful. Use them in teas, as a tasty garnish, or even put them in a small mesh bag and steep them in stews/soups.

sugardetoxme Fudge balls, I never thought about stews and soups
-
olivettefarm @sugardetoxme that's my favorite way to use them! I highly recommend.

MargaretG Basil flower tea is the best.
Took some old tomatoes past their prime and roasted them along with this branzino and other delicious fall roots and fruits! #NoFoodWaste
-
JenniferEmilson Roasting tomatoes is the best!
I had leftover stems from my kale and apple salad, so I tossed them in a ziplock bag in the freezer. With old carrots, herbs and celery they'll make a terrific vegetable stock! #NoFoodWaste
-
JenniferEmilson I have a whole section of the freezer for just these sorts of bags!
-
annefood @JenniferEmilson me too! Makes things so easy!
A little kohlrabi never hurt anyone...unless you take one of these bad boys and give it a good hurl in your next food fight. But not this month cuz it's #NoFoodWaste November, and I'll probably opt...
